Ambient capture
Works in the background of the session and drafts a structured progress note, intake evaluation or daily assessment.
Platform
What it does · where it’s goingFeatherglass helps specialty behavioral health teams turn complex histories into reviewable clinical work that carries forward across clinicians and transitions.
01How it works
Capture · review · carry forwardAmbient capture turns the conversation into a structured note while the clinician stays with the patient.
Upload long outside records, including scans and handwriting, and Featherglass organizes them.
Clinicians review and edit AI-generated drafts, with supporting source material there to check.
Summaries and one shared record give the next clinician what is already known.
02The platform
Documentation · intake · summaries · searchDocumentation
Works in the background of the session and drafts a structured progress note, intake evaluation or daily assessment.
Intake
Long outside records, including scans and handwriting, organized into an intake picture with supporting source material to review.
Summaries
Discharge summaries, testing reports and step-down narratives drafted from the whole course of treatment, for a clinician to review and edit.
Record
Every clinician's contributions gather in one Note Library, and the Focus View brings forward current concerns, goals, treatment response and open questions. Authorized colleagues, including clinicians in other organizations, can access the record and contribute.
AI-assisted search
Ask a practical question, such as what has happened in therapy since the last medication visit, and get an answer grounded in the available record.
Coding
Suggested CPT codes drawn from the documentation, for the clinician to review and decide.
03Life Story
History with the reasoning intactLife Story keeps the history behind today’s plan: the medications tried, how they went and why they changed, alongside substance use, family and medical history.
Life Story
Elena described some improvement in mood, but persistent nausea made it difficult to continue. She reported stopping after discussing the side effects with her psychiatrist.
Elena reported improved mood when taking it consistently. After moving to evening shifts, she began missing doses. In the latest visit, she linked the missed doses to the change in routine.
Partial benefit. Side effects. A change in routine.
04Roadmap
Planned capabilitiesPlanned capabilities, shaped by the clinicians and programs we work with.
Transitions
At a transition, the next clinician doesn't need the whole chart. They need what changed: new diagnoses, medication changes, trauma disclosures, risk, and the questions still open.
Admissions
Referral review with a usable history in front of the team before the admission decision, aimed at reducing avoidable delays and helping programs use their staffed capacity well.
Consent
Building on record sharing between authorized clinicians: a portal where patients choose who can see their record, with more advanced consent management, including separate consent for substance use disorder records under 42 CFR Part 2.
Integration
Connecting with the systems your programs already run, so the record arrives without re-entry.
05Alongside your systems
No rip and replaceFeatherglass doesn't replace your EHR. Your team brings in what it already has, outside records included, and Featherglass gives back drafts and summaries your clinicians review and edit.
Clinicians stay in control: they review and edit AI-generated drafts, with supporting source material there to check.
